Summary: Curse evolution! Just when you think it made up its mind as to what path we as a species will take, it ends up throwing one of those "missing links" our way! Or, to be more accurate, we keep poking and prodding those missing links so that they actually DO become problems. Our loss, we guess.

History: After discovering the remains of a Devonian sea creature said to be the link between man and fish, a group of intrepid scientists set out to find the mysterious "Gillman" that supposedly lives in the Amazon river in Brazil. That Gillman did indeed live there, but he was almost staggeringly lonely. Luckily, he wasn't picky, so he settled for a human woman while picking off everyone else. It ended badly for him, as his animosity towards everyone got him riddled with bullets, forcing him to retreat. To make matters worse, humanity returns a second time just so it can capture him and put him on display. And after escaping THAT awful scenario, he's critically injured during the third attempt at capture. After some reconstructive surgery from a mad scientist, he's back on his feet, albeit more suited for land than water this time.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing the A-hole who permanently altered him, the Gillman comes across the beach. After staring forlornly at his former home, he wanders into the water one last time, knowing that his alterations will let him drown, and leaving his seemingly endless torment at man's hands behind.

Powers/Abilities: Aside from being an adept swimmer, the Gillman has incredible strength, being able to lift twice his own weight and break steel chains.

Weakness: Anything conventional. Fire damn near killed him, as well.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-There's an uncanny look to the Gillman most certainly, and those claws are definitely not just for show, but it's not hard to feel sympathetic for the beast, as he seems to just want to be left alone and not much else. A pity we keep trying to piss him off at every occasion.

Trivia: -In the first film, the Gillman was played by two actors: Ben Chapman (land) and Ricou Browning (underwater).
